M.V.R. Medical Centre, established in March 2012, is dedicated to providing quality and affordable healthcare to people in and around Puducherry. We received ISO certification in 2014 and were awarded NABH entry-level accreditation in 2022.
With a dedicated focus on education and prevention, our team supports the screening and early detection of lifestyle disorders — diabetes, hypertension, thyroid, PCOS and obesity. The LSM programme brings that same doctor-led care to you online.
We also offer online consultations to people living in other states of India and abroad.
Meet Dr. M.R. Vidhya.
Chief Physician & Diabetologist and founder director of the Centre, Dr. Vidhya has practised in the field of Diabetology for over two decades.
A state topper in the Tamil Nadu board exams, she completed her M.B.B.S at Madurai Medical College and her D.N.B in Internal Medicine at Apollo Hospitals, Chennai.
Advanced Diabetology training under Prof. Dr. Seshiah, with courses from RSSDI, the Steno Diabetes Centre and the World Health Organization.
Published in journals including the JAPI, co-author of the API Textbook of Medicine, and principal investigator in several nationwide studies on insulin and OHA therapies.
A centre named in remembrance,

As diabetes grew across the region, Dr. Vidhya saw the need for a comprehensive diabetic-care centre. She established M.V.R. Medical Centre — named in remembrance of her father, Dr. M.V. Rajagopalan — to bring excellent, affordable care to the people of Puducherry and its neighbouring districts. Through free medical camps, dietary counselling and diabetes education in schools, colleges and public forums, that mission continues today — and now reaches you online.
